This workshop is a rare opportunity to photograph some of the world's most elite professional ballet dancers in the richly photogenic, unique, and magical environment of Havana, Cuba and the surrounding area.
With only six (6) photographers, you will have ample time to work with each dancer and photograph in a variety of locations. Past photographers rave about the small group size, the beauty, skill, and athleticism of the dancers, and the quality of the instruction provided by Ramses and Rad. We have had a number of photographers repeat this workshop with us over the years, and all have thanked us for sending them home with new photography skills, wonderful memories, and, especially, extraordinary photographs!
A native of Cuba, Ramses Batista is a multi-talented photographer who enjoys international acclaim and is highly respected in his home country and abroad.
Ramses has earned that respect photographing in Cuba for over 30 years. In that time he has photographed dignitaries and politicians who have come to Cuba and has made a name photographing ballet dancers and engaging with the arts. He is well known in the Cuban art community and is revered by both dancers and leaders in the arts. His stellar reputation allows him to engage world-class dancers for our photographers and often leads to special access to restricted locations for our group.

Cuba: The Pearl of the Antilles! 2024
This photo tour is intended to provide photographers with a look at life in Havana and Trinidad and points in-between. We’ll photograph beautiful city scapes, have ample opportunity for street photography in Havana and Trinidad, and experience the excitement of these two very different cities.
Join a small group of photographers for this exquisite photography experience. We stay at an agritorismo in the heart of Tuscany where one has only to step outside the farmhouse we stay in to discover stunning views of the surrounding farm land.
Each day we'll venture out to photograph breath-taking landscapes, historic churches, and many of the towns and villages that dot the Val d'Orca region, such as Montepulciano, Siena, Pienza, Cortona, and more.

Calabria: The Tyrrhenian Cost 2024!
(The Western Coast)
Calabria is the name for the region of Italy that is in the toe of the boot!
I'll be returning to the Tyrrhenian Coast – the western coast – of Calabria in 2024 and am currently working to schedule dates.
I first visited there in 2019 to explore and scout for a workshop and I fell in love with the area. Our 2023 photo tour with seven photographers was a remarkable experience filled with rich photo opportunities.
Fishing villages along the sea, quaint towns with winding streets through old structures, medieval cities, castles, farms, family businesses, and wonderful people.
Return with me in 2024!

Calabria: The Ionian Cost 2024!
(The Eastern Coast)
In October of 2023, I took time to explore the Ionian Coast – the eastern coast – of Italy with the intention of returning with a small group in 2024.
This historic region of Calabria is rich with Greek and Roman history, castles, abandoned medieval villages, and ruins along the sea. Organic farming is prevalent throughout the region which is dotted with olive groves, clementine orchards, licorice farms, and seaside vineyards.
